Doss and Mia

Doss recently visited his friend Mia.  Mia was very attentive to Doss, putting his pacifier in, and hugging him.  She wanted to smooch him almost as much as his cousin Lola (more on that to come. .. ).  Here are some photos of Doss and Mia sitting together in her club chair.  Too cute!  OH- and Doss's precious outfit. . . from Old Navy!  Aunt Amy gave it to him, and we love it.  We definitely will keep Old Navy on the list for cute, affordable boys clothes.

Baby Bjorn and Doss' first grin

we love the Baby Bjorn--it equals a certain amount of freedom for both the baby and for us.  it is so comfortable and allows me to move around more when Doss is awake during the day, and he can have some new views and hear new noises all around the house (and soon all over town!).  and, well, he LOVES to be in it with his dad doing anything!
we think this must have been his first smile--he loves the Baby Bjorn!

Doss loves his dad's face!

Three things I see often that make me smile. . . even giggle.  Can't wait for Jerry to see Lola (our niece), Guthrie and our Charlie Brown tree!

momversation--minding your own business

So, my favorite blogger, Rebecca Woolf is a part of a video chat blog called Momversation.  Click on the title of this post to check it out.  Today's momversation is awesome--it is about minding your own business!  They discuss when it is, or isn't ok to give advice to other parents and why.

I love it  b/c the bottom line is, if it isn't solicited, and i doesn't directly affect you, and if no one is in danger, then why do we want to get wrapped up in other people's decisions. . . ?  As long as we are all safe and happy-- you do it your way, and I'll do it my way. . . that is the jist of it, and I love that jist.

BTW--still awaiting baby Magill. . . .so I'm at home with some extra vacation time to burn, just wondering when this little boy is going to make his grand entrance.  Wish us luck!

I made HolaLola!

Seriously, my sister-in-law, Amy, writes a hilarious blog chronicling her life as a new mom and a driven, successful, working woman.

I was so excited to headline today's post on HolaLola that I screamed out to my husband, "I made the blog!".  So fun.
