Both my husband and myself grew up in small towns. Ben is from Weatherford, OK and I'm from Baird, TX. We wouldn't trade it for anything, and although we lead a different lifestyle now, we still like to go home. . . some things just don't happen in the city the way they do in a small town--for instance, the last time we tested it, you could send an envelope in the mail with only my parent's name, the town, and the zip code an it would be delivered. And most recently, we passed by a downtown storefront while visiting the Magill's in Oklahoma and this is what we saw taped to the door (on a Saturday!); "We are at the Cheese Fest in Watonga -Wendy" How awesome is that? Seriously--I love it, and it makes me laugh and miss the old days when the Night Watchman would report that to my parents that I missed my curfew. . . Tuesday, October 28, 2008
